Artist Statement
“ I am inspired to paint the beauty and diversity of this amazing landscape. I strive to capture the color of the sunset or the reflection and shimmer on the water and the feeling I have as I stand in light absorbing its warmth and color. It is all about the light. For me, the process of painting creates a connection to the memory of that place. As I paint, I experience the light and emotion, finding shapes, color and patterns. I give this energy to each painting with hope that others might experience this as well.“
